چکیده

High-resolution organic carbon isotope ( ? 13 C), Hg concentration and isotopes curves are presented for the Permian-Triassic boundary (PTB) sections at Guryul Ravine (India) Meishan D (China). The total (TOC)-normalized concentrations reveal more intense environmental changes Latest Permian Mass Extinction (LPME) earliest Triassic (ETME) horizons coinciding with major C shifts. To highlight palaeoredox conditions we used redox-sensitive elements Rare Earth Element distribution. At Meishan, three Hg/TOC spikes (I, II, III) observed. Spike I remains after normalization by aluminum (Al), but disappears when normalized sulfur (TS). III, base of Bed 26, corresponds excursions in Hg/TS Hg/Al curves, indicating a change paleoredox from anoxic/euxinic framboidal pyrite-bearing sediments (Bed 26) to oxygenated 27). Ravine, four were observed: clear spike 46, II pyrite-rich 49, III PTB, IV LPME horizon. Some these disappear TS or Al is applied. (oxic conditions), only curve (anoxic/euxinic), (oxic). In both sections, deposition was organic-matter bound, role sulfides being minor locally restricted horizons. Positive mass-independent fractionation (MIF) odd (odd-MIF) observed pre-LPME samples, negative values LPME–PTB interval, positive above ETME Most Hg-isotope patterns probably controlled bathymetry atmospheric Hg-bearing deposits. source can be attributed Siberian Traps Large Igneous Province (STLIP). LPME-PTB complex STLIP sills (Stage 2) intruded coal-bearing sediments. 202 Hg, mercury odd-MIF ? 201 patterns, 199 Hg–Hg plot compatible volcanic deposition. Our study shows strength ratios as paleoenvironmental proxy tool stratigraphic correlation.

Sequencing events across the Permian–Triassic boundary, Guryul Ravine (Kashmir, India)

The Permian–Triassic boundary (PTB) section at Guryul Ravine (Kashmir, India) comprises a N100-m-thick, apparently conformable succession of mixed siliciclastic–carbonate sediments deposited in a deep-shelf or ramp setting. This section, although long important in debates concerning placement of the PTB, has not previously been the focus of an integrated chemostratigraphic study. In the present...

Thecamoebians (Testate Amoebae) Straddling the Permian-Triassic Boundary in the Guryul Ravine Section, India: Evolutionary and Palaeoecological Implications

Exceptionally well-preserved organic remains of thecamoebians (testate amoebae) were preserved in marine sediments that straddle the greatest extinction event in the Phanerozoic: the Permian-Triassic Boundary. Outcrops from the Late Permian Zewan Formation and the Early Triassic Khunamuh Formation are represented by a complete sedimentary sequence at the Guryul Ravine Section in Kashmir, India,...

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...

Abrupt chemical weathering increase across the Permian–Triassic boundary

Previous studies have suggested a variety of causes for the end-Permian extinction event including a bolide impact, flood basalt volcanism, methane clathrate dissociation, or some combination of catastrophic processes. One common feature of these hypotheses is the prediction of an enhanced earliest Triassic greenhouse. New high-resolution geochemical results from Graphite Peak, Antarctica suppo...
